Hi,
I used the Stripez theme, but the thumbnails doesnt seem to load.
I read from ur ReadMe that it may be blocked by the Hosting Provider, but the server is my own and i have not set any blocklist.
Can you please advise?
January 4th, 2010 at 12:07 am
do you have change the cache directory permission to 777?
January 6th, 2010 at 5:15 pm
I too am having issues with the thumbnails. I also found out that there was to upload folder so that was something that we had to create ourselves.
I have fixed the permissions and everything should work but doesn’t.

I meant that that there was no upload folder…
January 6th, 2010 at 7:08 pm
image thumb not work if you using outside URL image. you must upload it from your blog. upload folder is inside you wp-content directory.

The files upload to the cache and uploads folders just fine but they still won’t display on the homepage. Any suggestions?

I think your hosting provider not allow my script. So try to contact your hosting provider and tell them to make timthumb.php whitelist.

Why would a hosting provider not allow this particular script to run though?

here are the full description of the script http://www.elegantthemes.com/troubleshooting-timthumb.html

Hi,
I managed to get the thumbs to work on my front page. However, recently it has stopped working again.
My previous thumbs are all displaying normally, but the new post that i have added, the thumbs are not appearing.
I’m not exactly sure what is the problem, but when i tried to go manually to the softlink
http://www.woodlandsyec.org.sg/wp-content/themes/Stripez/Stripez/timthumb.php?src=http://www.woodlandsyec.org.sg/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/pic30867.jpg&h=50&w=80&zc=1
It gives me a ‘GD Library Error: imagecreatetruecolor does not exist’
Not sure if it helps. Can you kindly advise how to troubleshoot?
Thanks alot!

refer to this http://www.elegantthemes.com/troubleshooting-timthumb.html
you should tell your hosting provider to open GD Library for your site

Hi Tracy Lee, Thanks for using this theme. By the way, do you change any code from this theme?
February 4th, 2010 at 2:16 pm
I did now, I hadn’t before… I was trying to figure out a solution to make this work…
I didn’t change anything major though, just added in the featured content gallery to see if I could get that working instead…

Hi,
I’m using an edited version of the Stripez theme but I can’t seem to get the WordPress widgets to display in the sidebar. Could you tell me the specific piece of code that widgetizes the sidebar? I’m afraid that I might have deleted it while editing. I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks!
October 28th, 2010 at 2:15 pm
simply add this code to sidebar.php
< ?php if ( !function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar() ) : endif; ?>

Thanks so much for the quick reply!
I tried adding the code and it doesn’t seem to be working. It either displays as text in the sidebar or it moves the footer into the sidebar. Where exactly should I add it? Thanks again!
November 7th, 2010 at 8:50 pm
email me your sidebar.php
I will add it for you.

I love your Stripez theme, everything looks amazing and works great. We would love for the ‘featured’ posts to remain on the home page under the photo slide show, but have all ‘blog’ posts appear on another page. Is it possible to keep recent posts from showing up on the home page and knocking the featured posts down? Probably basic WordPress stuff…I just cannot figure this out.
January 7th, 2011 at 10:31 am
you have to edit it at index.php, but maybe have to changes lot of code.
